WHAT WE MUST ASK OF OUR AUDIENCE: Patron Requirements

Please note: We are proud to be a professional equity house and we will be adhering to all the policies and procedures laid out by Actors Equity Association (AEA), the union for professional actors and stage managers in the United States.

Safety measures will likely change as COVID-19 guidelines evolve. We will continue to keep ticket-holders updated via email with any changes and the most up-to-date information will always be available on our website. We recommend checking our website for the latest information prior to attending a performance.

  • FULL VACCINATION - Proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be provided by all audience members to attend any performance at Salt Lake Acting Company. All audience members above the age of 12 will need to show proof of vaccination and a photo ID to enter the building. Again, all patrons must be fully vaccinated (final dose of vaccination must be completed at least 14 days prior to the date of attendance). Think of this as being similar to the necessity of presenting a current, valid ID in order to purchase alcohol in Utah. A photo or copy of your vaccine card will suffice.
  • FACE MASKS - Face masks must be worn inside the theatre at all times, except for when hydrating. Concessions will not be sold and food is not allowed in the theatre.
  • STAY HOME IF YOU’RE SICK - If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to anyone with the virus, you must stay home. Contact the box office at 801-363-7522 or for ticketing accommodations including streaming options and ticket exchanges.
  • STREAMING AVAILABILITY - In addition to in-person performances, Four Women Talking About the Man Under the Sheet will be available to stream on-demand October 17 through 31, 2021. If you are unable to attend in person, we are happy to provide this option for you.

WHAT WE MUST ASK OF ACTORS, STAFF & OUR SPACE: Safety Procedures in the Theatre

  • FULL VACCINATION - All box office and front of house staff, administrative staff, backstage crew, stage management, and actors have been fully vaccinated.
  • REDUCING CONTACT - Wherever possible, points of contact between staff and patrons will be limited. This includes utilizing digital programs, digital tickets, etc.
  • SANITIZATION - Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building.
  • CLEANING - All high-touch and low-touch surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized before, during, and after performances.
  • VENTILATION - Salt Lake Acting Company has fully updated all HVAC systems in our facility with brand-new equipment that meets or exceeds the ventilation and filtration standards recommended by the CDC and AEA.

Tickets, Seating & Guest Services

  • CONCESSIONS - There will be no concessions for sale until further notice. Water stations will be available. Please note that neither food nor beverage (except water) is permitted into the theatre.
  • SEATING - According to local/state health and safety guidelines, event seating may be done at full capacity. Patrons may be seated shoulder to shoulder without social distancing.
  • TICKETS - Physical tickets will not be mailed at this time. Please have the QR code on your ticket confirmation email ready to be scanned on your phone. If you prefer, you can also print your confirmation email at home.
  • CANCELLATION - In the event that a performance needs to be canceled, patrons will have the option to reschedule, receive a refund, donate the ticket cost, or receive a gift certificate in the value of the tickets.

FAQ

I’m not feeling well. What options do I have for my tickets?

Thank you for taking care of everyone by staying home. Please contact the box office at 801-363-7522 or . We are happy to help find a solution. We can set you up to stream the production or we can exchange your tickets for another date. Other options include receiving a gift certificate in the value of the tickets, donating the ticket cost, or receiving a refund.

I lost my vaccination card. What do I do?

The Utah Department of Health has a helpful guide on how to acquire your vaccination information if you have lost it. Amongst those options, there is an app called  Docket through which you can access your Utah Health Department vaccination records. We recommend planning ahead with gathering this information—if you do not have proof of vaccination when attending a production, you will not be admitted into the building.

What happens if I don't bring my proof of vaccination to the performance? I swear, I'm vaccinated!

Proof of vaccination is required to be admitted (a photocopy or digital record works as well). If you do not bring proof of vaccination, you will not be admitted to the performance. We will do our best to assist you in acquiring your records (through digital options like Docket or having a family member/roommate send a photo of your vaccination card). If acquiring your proof of vaccination is not feasible in time for the performance, we are happy to move your tickets to another performance in the run of the show.
