Green Room Gallery
SLAC maintains an active gallery to showcase and sell the work of local visual artists in rotating exhibitions inspired by productions on our stage. The Green Room Gallery is a space for conversation, enjoyment, and reflection, but most importantly, it is another way for SLAC to support Utah artists.
Post-Play Discussions
Following the first Sunday matinee of each play, SLAC invites the audience to stay for a free discussion with the artistic team. Thoughtful conversation among our audience and artists brings a deeper understanding of and connection to the issues and themes particular to each play.
Free ZAP Tuesdays
Thanks to Salt Lake County’s Zoo, Arts, and Parks program, Free ZAP Tuesdays allow SLAC to say thank you to our community. Free and open to the public, these nights were established to accommodate those with financial obstacles preventing them from experiencing live theatre. These free Tuesday evening performances are always well attended and warmly received. Many thanks to ZAP for supporting SLAC’s work.
Community Partnerships and Outreach
We partner with local community organizations alongside each play we produce, helping to further their missions and connecting them with our audience. Partnering organizations have a presence in our lobby, on our postcard, in the playbill, and in our host speech. Recently we have partnered with: Utah Food Bank, King’s English Bookshop, Black Physicians of Utah Mental Wellness Alliance, League of Women Voters, Curly Me! Carting Connections, Art Access, YWCA, Kenneth Burdett School of the Deaf, Asian Association of Utah, Flying Bobcat Theatrical Laboratory, The Inn Between, 4th Street Clinic.
