Legends of the Utah Stage, Dee-Dee Darby-Duffin* and Annette Wright to Star in Salt Lake Acting Company’s Season Opener, The Roommate by Jen Silverman, Directed by Teresa Sanderson.
We couldn’t be more proud to announce the cast and creative team for the first production of our upcoming 25/26 Season. Fresh off a Broadway run in 2024 starring Mia Farrow and Patti Lupone, the Utah Premiere will make its debut in the Upstairs Theatre from October 1st to October 26th, 2025. SLAC audience favorites, Dee-Dee Darby-Duffin* (Whitelisted, Passing Strange, Mercury) as Sharon, and Annette Wright (A Dolls House, Part 2, SLACabaret: Down the Rabbit Hole, Saturday’s Voyeur) as Robyn, will lead this coming of a certain age comedy about an unexpected, transformative friendship between two distinctly different women. When the recently divorced Sharon invites the recently relocated Robyn to be her new roommate, laughs abound and secrets are revealed as the two women learn more about themselves in the process of getting to know one another.

Joining Teresa Sanderson (Director) on the creative team will be Spencer Potter (Set Designer), Jesse Portillo** (Lighting Designer), Elizabeth Webb (Costume Designer), Jessica Graham (Props Designer), Cynthia L. Kehr Rees** (Sound Designer), Tahra Veasley* (Production Manager/Stage Manager), and Bridgette Lehman* (Production Manager/Asst. Stage Manager). Understudies for the production will be Jensie Anderson (Sharon U/S), and Nan Weber (Robyn U/S).

The production will run from October 1st to October 26th, Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 1 and 6 PM. With an additional Tuesday performance on October 14th at 7:30 PM and an additional Saturday matinee on October 25th at 2 PM.
