Joey joined the team as Director of Communications in 2022 after several years as an actor on SLAC's stage. At SLAC he has appeared in Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical!, SLAC's Summer Show: Close Encounters in the Beehive, SLACabaret: Down the Rabbit Hole, Pete the Cat, Saturday's Voyeur, and Diary of a Worm, a Spider, and a Fly, as well as the 2020 online series Just for Laughs, and the 2025 New Play Sounding Series workshop of Beloved King: A Queer Bible Musical. He was also the Assistant Stage Manager for Yoga Play.
Other credits include productions with Universal Studios Japan, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Osaka, Utah Opera, Good Company Theatre, Plan-B Theatre Company, Hale Centre Theatre, Hale Center Theater Orem, West Valley Arts, Desert Star Playhouse, the Greek Theatre Festival, Salt Lake Shakespeare, and as a guest artist with Westminster University. Among many appearances on screen, he starred in the feature films Dog Valley and the Emmy Award Winning Resistance Movement.
He has also worked as the Director of Marketing and Communications for Hale Center Theater Orem, Director of Product and Communications for Alice Lane Interior Design, and as Senior Strategist for Xyngular Corporation.
