The Roommate
by Jen Silverman
Directed by Teresa Sanderson
Utah Premiere
Oct. 1 - 26, 2025
A coming of a certain age comedy about an unexpected, transformative friendship between two distinctly different women. Being bad never felt so good in this riveting one-act about second acts.
“It’s a story about how we keep discovering who we are and what we need as we age and how vital and powerful and dangerous it is, in a good way, to listen to your instincts instead of listening to the voices that are telling us societally and culturally what we should be and how we should age.” –Jen Silverman

Sunny in the Dark
by Elaine Jarvik
Directed by Marion Markham
World Premiere
Workshopped in SLAC’s 23/24 New Play Sounding Series
Feb. 4 – Mar. 1, 2026
15-year-old Sunny wonders about the universe, God, and her own creation story. When a DNA test reveals a complicated truth, her journey gets...well...complicated. Sunny in the Dark is a play about mysteries, yearnings, and lies. Oh, and astrophysics!

Music and Lyrics by Juliana Nash
Directed by Cynthia Fleming
Music Directed by Dave Evanoff
Regional Premiere
Apr. 8 - May 3, 2026
A chamber rock musical about a love triangle that goes wrong. Sexy with a sharp wit and the driving force of a noir thriller, Murder Ballad explores the complications of love, the compromises we make, and the betrayals that can ultimately undo us.

SLAC’s Summer Show 2026

Children’s Show Season Add-on
Dec. 5 - 30, 2025
Wilbur and all his fellow naked mole rats in The Tunnel have always been, well...naked. Wondering what other possibilities are out there, Wilbur discovers a love for clothing and style. When word of his new passion turns the Tunnel upside down, he proves to everyone that there's no need to be just like everyone else. A special lesson and rock show all in one, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed has energetic songs, quirky characters, and a story unlike any other that will bring joy to both the young and the young at heart.

The inhabitants of a small farm in Alabaster, Alabama are no strangers to destruction and loss. But when an outsider arrives to help them make sense of the past, they must confront their mortality and deal with the trauma head-on. Through laughter, tears, and even a couple of talking goats, Audrey Cefaly weaves a darkly comic southern tale of redemption that examines how one reassembles the pieces of a broken heart.
